City Technology unveils new brand at CIPPE Oil and Gas Show in Beijing

City Technology unveiled its new global brand identity to oil and gas professionals at the International Petroleum and Petrochemical Technology Exhibition (CIPPE) in Beijing on 19-21 March.

City participated in the world's largest oil and gas exhibition with Honeywell Analytics, Rae Systems and Sensing & Controls - in order to showcase its latest gas sensing technologies and the importance of selecting the right sensor as a critical component of gas detection solutions.

As the world's largest supplier of gas sensors, City has a range of toxic and flammable gas sensors used to protect workers and assets in the oil and gas industry. These can be found in gas detection instruments used in the world's largest oil and gas refineries.

Wilson Tan, Business Leader of City Technology in APAC, commented, "The oil and gas industry is one of City's most important and fastest growing end user markets thanks to strong energy demand and stricter health and safety regulations in high growth regions. As the most important oil and gas event in China, CIPPE proved to be a great opportunity to educate customers and end users on next generation gas sensing technologies and how the latest products are being adopted in new instrument designs and ultimately responding to market needs."

CIPPE coincided with the launch of City's new global brand identity across Europe, the US and Asia Pacific. John Warburton, City Technology Marketing Leader, explained why CIPPE was selected to showcase the new brand, "with more than 1500 exhibitors and over 300,000 visitors, CIPPE has the most extensive audience of gas detection customers and end users - giving us ideal exposure. China continues to be one of our fastest growing markets with a large proportion of key customers so it's vital to communicate our latest developments at key industry events."
