Product Ranges

City Technology is the leading brand for gas sensors within the Honeywell Life Safety business. City Technology provides the widest range of gas sensors available in the market today, including product ranges manufactured in Portsmouth, Bonn (Sensoric range) and Poole (Sixth Sense range).

Our main product ranges are:

3-Series – City’s original toxic gas sensor product range. A wide range of toxic gas sensors are available in this format – many of the sensors can be supplied with 4-20 mA and mV transmitter boards.

3-Series include sensors for general industrial safety application, flue gas emissions monitoring, ambient air monitoring and medical gas applications.

4-Series – City’s 4-Series gas sensors are the industry standard for use in portable gas detectors. Available for oxygen, an extensive range of toxic gases and also a range of fully certified pellistors for combustible gas detection. Infrared sensors for carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon detection are also available in the 4-Series.

5-Series – a range of premium gas sensors design for use in flue gas analysers and combustion efficiency monitors. This range includes sensors for oxygen as well as carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide and sulphur dioxide. The range also contains a hydrogen compensated carbon monoxide sensor. The 5-Series sensors are design for optimal operation within the harsh environment of flue gases.

7-Series – a wide range of sensors for general gas detection applications including oxygen and an extensive range of toxic gases. The sensors are suitable for use in portable and fixed gas detectors and also includes sensors for medical gas applications.

MOX – City’s medical oxygen sensors are designed specifically for use in respiratory and anaesthesia applications. MOX sensors are available in a wide range of formats and are compatible with many of the leading brands of medical equipment.

Automotive – the automotive range of sensors are designed for use in exhaust gas analyser equipment. The range includes oxygen and nitric oxide sensors and 2 infrared benches (2 and 3 gas designs).

MICROceL ® - the revolutionary MICROceL ® sensors form the smallest range of gas sensors available. The range includes oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide and fully certified combustible gas sensors.

Sensoric – the Sensoric range of toxic gas sensors are manufactured in Bonn. Over the last 15 years the Sensoric range of gas sensors, especially those for exotic toxic gases, have gained world-wide recognition for their excellent performance. The sensors are available in the small “mini” housing or can be supplied with adaptors to fit the 4 and 7-Series format. The Sensoric sensors are available with 4-20mA transmitter boards.

Sixth Sense – the Sixth Sense carbon monoxide sensors are widely used in domestic and commercial CO alarms. Manufactured in a highly automated process in Poole these sensors are designed for long-life unattended operation in applications such as domestic CO alarms, CO sensors as part of fire detection systems and for monitoring CO levels in underground car parks.

Other Ranges - City Technology also has other sensor ranges including pellistor beads, the CDH range of certified pellistor detection heads for fixed applications, 9-Series carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulphide miniature sensors for short lifetime applications. City still manufacture its original range metal can oxygen sensors.
