New from City Technology - sensors for disposable instruments
City Technology Limited has launched two miniature gas sensors for disposable
safety instruments. The gases measured are hydrogen sulphide and carbon
monoxide, the two most common gases in personal safety applications.
 |
These new 9 Series CiTiceL sensors, measuring only
17mm in diameter, 9.85 in height and weighing under 2 grams are designed
for disposable ultra-lightweight gas alarms for contract workers on
short-term projects. Such instruments are increasingly being used
in high risk environments such as petrochemical plants, sewerage and
other confined space applications. |
Features
Both the 9HH (for measuring H2S) and the 9CF (for measuring CO) are two-electrode
sensors allowing simple electronics, with nominal ranges of 0-50ppm (maximum
overload of 200ppm). They have an operating life of three months and generate
a current output that is suitable for simple alarm instruments. They are
covered by a 4-month warranty.
David Baines, Sales & Marketing Director with City, said: 'For short-term
projects disposable instruments are increasingly being used, as they require
no calibration, battery charging or sensor replacement. Disposable instruments
are a cost-effective option in such situations and OEMs will find City's
9 Series CiTiceLs an excellent choice in terms of performance and quality.'
Further information on the 9-Series CiTiceL range and specification sheets
are available from the Technical Support department. November,

Data sheets are available online for the 9CF
and 9HH
CiTiceLs.
