New Pellistors for Mining Applications
City Technology has recently added to their large range of combustible gas sensors, “pellistors”, with the introduction of 4 new sensors specifically for use in mining applications. Based on the proven and industry standard 4P range and the new MICROpeL TM range these sensors provide users with enhanced performance in mining environments.
The 4 new pellistors, 4P50M, 4P75M, 4P90M & MICROpeL TM75M all contain an activated charcoal filter that removes many of the organic poisons (especially silicones) found in mines, so greatly improving the poison resistance of the sensors. Due to use of the filter these pellistors are only suitable for the detection of methane and hydrogen.
All 4 pellistors use City Technology’s proven catalytic bead technology so ensuring excellent performance and low drift over a wide range of temperatures. As with all the 4P and MICROpeL TM range these sensor have excellent shock resistance.
The new range of mining pellistors is fully certified to a range of ATEX, UL and CSA intrinsically safe and flameproof standards.
